Nelly Castillo was born in Veracruz Mexico, where she received a Bachelors of Arts in Communications from the Universidad Autonoma Villa Rica, an affiliate of the prestigious UNAM. After being crowned Miss "Nuestra Belleza Veracruz Boca del Rio", Nelly was given the opportunity to co-host "Soy Tiburon Superior" a Televisa produced sports show made for soccer fans. This experience, coupled with a featured role as the “Jade Teeth Woman" in Mel Gibson's film “Apocalypto”, convinced Nelly that a career in front of the camera was her calling in life.

Looking to forge a career as an actress, Nelly came to the United States driven to succeed. She has had lead roles in commercials for brands such as Microsoft, New Oven Pro, Olympia Cookware, Doritos, Cabrito Tequila, 30 Seconds Smile, Disney Resorts, Snickers, Hershey’s and Comfortisse Bra. With a strong work ethic and professionalism, Nelly has built upon her past experiences and seized new opportunities by landing roles in three feature films. The first being David Ayer's film "End of Watch", where she worked along side Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña. The second role, a Spanish language horror film "Unknows/Desconocidos" by producer Manolo Travieso and the last one on "People You May Know" directed by acclaimed Spanish acclaimed director Juan Carlos Falcon. She has also worked as an actress on other short films like “Till Death Do us Part”, “Six Second Romance”, “Ash”, “Confessions of a mother”, "Valeria" and others.

Nelly's charm, dedication and bilingual skills have allowed her to branch out into hosting. She has worked in commercials as the Host/Spokesperson for other brands like Chivas Regal, Freeway Insurance, Avrek Law; Steinger, Iscoe and Greene Law, and Thomas Kearns Law. She currently has an ongoing TV presence hosting commercials for the auto industry on Azteca America, Telemundo, Univision, Mundo Fox, My NetworkTV, CNN and in other affiliate networks across the country. Some of these Auto companies include Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Ford, Chevy, GMC and KIA of Downtown which is the #1 U.S. dealership in sales due to the success of these commercials. She has had co-star roles in music videos like David Guetta’s “Tomorrow Can’t Wait”, Enrique Bunbury’s Latin GRAMMY nominated video “Odiame” as well as on a video for Italian singer Senit’s “Work Hard”.

In 2010 Nelly Co-founded Vendetta Entertainment, which is a Los Angeles-based production company. The company has produced short films, music videos and promo videos for El Rey Networks.
